Amber Carlson
I’ve been married to my best friend for fifteen years. We have four kids - Matthew, McKenna, Ella, and Owen (all of whom attend Riverview). I received my Bachelor of Science in Gerontology from Western Oregon University before obtaining my Nursing License from Southwestern Oregon Community College. I work as a Labor and Delivery nurse by night, and volunteer my time during the day, doing media and marketing here at the school. When the school first started, God placed a calling on my heart to help “fill in the gaps,” as it got off the ground. Never, did I ever, think that that call would lead me into doing media and marketing. Nursing is a big leap from social media, but I’ve learned that God equips you when He picks you, and it’s been amazing to see how He has provided along this learning adventure!

I am a mother of six living children on this earth, with four of my youngest children attending Riverview Christian School. I am grateful to be part of this Chrisitan school community, both as a parent and as an employee. My faith in Jesus Christ is at the heart of who I am, and I'm thankful for the opportunity to serve and support our students and families in this Christ-centered environment.

I am the daughter of a late Retired Submariner and the wife of a Retired SWO. I traveled all over the country, and out of the country, during the first 48 years of my life, and eventually landed in Coos Bay 8 years ago. I've been married to my best friend for 33 years and we have 6 children, the youngest is a student here at RCS. My becoming a part of this community was all God. He opened the right doors for me and now I get the privilege to serve Him, my son and the RCS families. Getting to know the students and their families through bus driving and art has been a blessing in more ways than I can even explain. I continue to pray for Him to use me for His glory.

I was born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon, and that's where I met my husband back in 2014. We were married in 2018 and now have 2 amazing kids, Maci and Trent. When I'm not at school, you can usually find me traveling, line dancing, reading, or spend time with family and friends. I'm always up for a good adventure. I started at Riverview by helping out during lunch, and somehow that turned into helping in preschool and substitute teaching! I've loved getting to know the students and staff along the way. God had truly shown me how special the people at Riverview are, and I feel so blessed to be a part of this school family.
I am the mom of four great kids and grandma to two delightful granddaughters. I have been married to Jody for 24 years. When I am not driving the bus, you can find me over at North Bend Lanes.I love hanging out with these kids! They say the greatest things on the bus. I enjoy talking to them about Jesus and sharing with them how much He loves them. Being a part of this school that cares about serving our community is a blessing. My favorite RCS Moment is graduation. It is a wonderful culmination of all the hard work the students and staff put into each and every day.

I married my best friend, Kyle, 22 years ago. We have been blessed with three amazing children, Jaeda, Kyla and Damien. I’m very shy, a bit awkward and I love Jesus a whole lot! My favorite things to do are spending time with my family and photography. God created such a beautiful world! I also love going on road trips, visiting faraway family, reading historical fiction, quilting, crocheting, knitting, and camping.
After seeing how much RCS has blessed our family by pointing our kids to Christ in everything they face, I wanted the same opportunity for every child. I longed to be a part of this ministry however the Lord would use me, and then He opened the door for me to join the transportation team!
