Pre-K

Elizabeth George
I married my wonderful husband, Donald, this summer! In my free time, I love painting, fishing, spending time with my family, and finding new ways to be creative. The Lord has been so intentional in preparing my heart for this position. Last year, He placed me in a school working closely with students in special education. That experience completely changed the way I see and understand children. It taught me that communication goes far beyond words, that every child deserves to feel known and understood, and that sometimes the most important thing we can give a child is patience, compassion, and consistent love. Riverview kept coming up in different ways in our lives, and I felt the Lord continuing to point me in this direction. So, I took a leap of faith and sent an email! That email turned into my very first Pre-K teaching position.

I’ve lived in Coos Bay most of my life. I am married to my husband Hank. We have two amazing children. I gave my life to Jesus and my heart has been changed since. After being saved and placing our kids into Riverview the Lord called me to volunteer at the school which showed me it was where He intended me to be. I then felt the Lord putting it on my heart to let go of my job and trust in him, even though I had no idea what His plans were. I was then offered the incredible opportunity to be the kindergarten EA which led to becoming the main Kindergarten teacher. I pray to be a part of this God lead team for many years to come and continue to witness God moving beautifully in our youth.

coming soon!

I’ve been married for sixteen years and we have five children. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 16 years. I love crocheting, paddleboarding, hiking, hanging out with friends, and traveling! I love Riverview. My kids have been a part of this school since the beginning, and I love to see how God is moving in each of the students’ lives. I've seen kids grow and mature in the Lord, and there's no greater honor than getting to be a part of that mission field. Last year I found myself volunteering at the school more than I wasn’t, and when the opportunity presented itself to come on staff, I jumped at it!

I have been married to Ralph for 12 years. We have 2 boys. Gannon is 22 and Wilson is nearly 10. We are active in our kids church ministry, with sports: football, basketball, & baseball. I have been teaching elementary aged students for 20 plus years in the public schools. I completed my Masters in Teaching in 2000 through Oregon State University. Riverview Christian School is a blessing to me and my family! The Lord shows again and again answer to prayer and He continues to guide me in teaching His word into the lives of my students!

I have been married to my husband, Josh, since 2011, and we are blessed with two sons who attend RCS. In 2017, my husband and I dedicated our lives to Christ, and our faith continues to guide our family and the way we serve others. I am a Bandon High School graduate and hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Psychology from Western Oregon University. I have worked in education since 2010 in a variety of roles, including Special Education and Title I, serving students all over Oregon. Outside of school, I enjoy cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and spending time along the Oregon coast, whale watching and appreciating God’s beautiful creation.

Being raised in Coos Bay I really enjoy the outdoors! I love gardening and growing food, running, and working on our home. My husband, Chris and I are high school sweethearts and have been married for 14 years this October! Together we have two beautiful children that keep us on our toes. In 2020, God brought me out of homeschooling to be an EA in kindergarten. At that time I was working toward my AAOT in nursing. Little did I know that God was about to present an opportunity for me to teach, asking me to step out in a completely different direction at RCS. I have been teaching 1st grade since September 2022, and loving every minute!

I have been married for almost 10 years, and the Lord has blessed us with two adorable children. In our free time we love getting out to the beach or the woods for hiking, hunting or fishing. RCS is a second home; the staff feels like family, and the kids are a joy to be around. When I first started pursing my nursing career, I had planned on eventually being a public-school nurse when my kids were of school age, I never thought I’d be working in a private school. Fast forward about 10 years, I was saved in 2015 at RCF, and I’ve never felt more fulfilled than I have when I’m working with the students and staff here. Doing what God has called you to do, in the place He has called you to be is incredible, this school and all the people in it have been a huge blessing in my life.

My family and I have been in the Coos Bay area since 2001. Prior to our time here, we lived in Northern California where I was born and raised. I have been married to my husband for 23 years. We have 3 children, ages 20, 17, and 13. Fun fact: I like to knit! After sending our 2 daughters to school at RCS, I felt led to volunteer for math tutoring at the school; and ever since then, God has continued to pull me back into the ministry of education. As uncomfortable as it sometimes feels, I aim to follow where the Heavenly Father leads me -- over hills and valleys, through storms and alongside still waters, in my hometown and at Riverview Christian School. Wherever He guides me, there I am always humbled. and blessed.
